The long sword is one of the seventeen sword types available to players in the game. It is produced at iron mongers. On subscription oceans, the long sword may be used by trial players.
The sprinkles in columns 1 and 2 of the drop pattern are monochrome. When striking, the first four blocks in column 2 are all the same color as those sprinkles. This weakness is duplicated on the other side. While these weaknesses are offset somewhat when making larger strikes, there are swords better suited to making large strikes in the game (e.g., the falchion, dadao and katana). Therefore, some consider the long sword to be an average sword in light of its large strike pattern; others consider it to be overpriced and inefficient.
