A palace is a building placed on a colonized island . It allows the governor to manage the island and its taxes . All tax revenue from shoppes on the island deposit in the palace's coffers . Note that palaces are exempt from paying additional island taxes.
Use [ ] The palace is used by the governor to manage island business. Historically, the island's navy was also controlled from here. Palaces feature a tournament board for swordfighting and drinking tournaments , and it is the location of certain missions . Some palaces have tap rooms with additional drinking tables. Pirates may sit for a portrait in the palace shoppe. On doubloon oceans, these shoppes also sell badges and may sell sloops as well. Note that the governor does not receive any PoE from palace shoppe purchases. All items sold here function as PoE sinks . An island cannot function without a palace or fort.
