Politics

From Puzzle Pirates

Jump to: navigation, search

Politics refers to the three ways that a crew may be run.

[edit] Autocratic

In an autocratic crew, the captain is the only person who can promote to a senior officer or modify the crew cut, booty shares, or articles of the crew. A senior officer may promote to fleet officer without an issue being raised.

[edit] Oligarchic

An oligarchic crew is run by the senior officers and the captain together. Issues such as changing the captain, promoting a person to senior officer, or joining a flag must be put to a vote by the senior officers and captain. A majority vote within three days of active leadership is required to have any issue pass.

[edit] Democratic

Democratic crews tend to be rather rare in the ocean as they require a good deal of trust in not just the senior officers, but every person in the crew of pirate rank and above. Similar to an oligarchic crew in that a majority vote is required, this majority must come from all members of the crew.
